Who Qualifies for a Pardon?

• You were convicted of a felony in a Wisconsin court. 
• You have completed your entire sentence ( including probation and parole).
• It's been five years since you completed your sentence.
• You have no pending criminal charges. 
• You have NOT been charged with any new criminal offences since your last conviction. 
• You have not committed any new crimes since your last conviction. 
• You are not currently required to register as a sex offender. 
• You are not currently incarcerated or on supervision. 
• You can show personal growth, be coachable, demonstrate accountability, and readiness. 

*Pardons are available for Wisconsin state convictions only
(Federal or out-of-state convictions must go through separate processes)

*A pardon does not expunge your record, but it may restore civil rights (e.g. firearm ownership, professional licensing)

*Violent convictions are not automatically disqualified, but they are reviewed with higher scrutiny
